Chicken & Chips

Chicken and Chips


Chicken pieces
3sp seasoning
6sp flour
2sp cooking oil
4 potatoes, sliced into wedges
2 tomatoes
2 sp sugar
1 egg 


Remove the skin from the chicken pieces and discard. Sprinkle the seasoning over the meat. Dip the meat piece by piece first into the whisked egg, then into the flour. Place in some hot oil in a frying pan and brown on all sides.

When complete, place the chicken together in an oven proof dish. Put in the oven and cook for about 40 minutes.

Wash your potatoes and slice into potato wedges. Place in a separate oven proof dish. Sprinkle with oil and place in the oven to cook alongside the chicken. I set the temperature about 180 degrees - gas 5-6.

To make the relish, chop and fry the tomato in a little cooking oil. Add some sugar and seasoning and lightly mash into a pulp.

Ten minutes before the dish is ready, prepare your vegetables, cook them and serve with some relish on the side.
