6.4 Thursday - Fish Pie
Fish Pie
Ingredients
4 frozen fish fillets
Pack of Salmon trimmings
3 spoons of flour
Half a pint of milk
Knob of butter
Sprig of thyme – chopped
One spoon of seasoning
4 Large Potatoes
Method
Place the potatoes in the microwave to cook. Place the milk, butter and flour in a pan together with the seasoning and the thyme.
Heat up and whisk continually until you have a thick and creamy sauce.
Cut the frozen fish into bite size chunks and place in the bottom of an ovenproof dish.
Put the salmon on top of the fish. When the potatoes are cooked, remove the skin and mash together.
Serve and enjoy.
You can add a knob of butter and a splash of milk if you prefer. Now you can pour the creamy sauce over the fish, then spoon the mashed potato on top.
Make sure you have a nice even surface with all the fish completely covered. Place in the oven to cook for 30 minutes. Prepare vegetables and serve.
