3.3 Wednesday - Sausage and Fish Paella







Sausage & Fish Paella

Ingredients


1 ½ cups brown rice

½ tin tomatoes
4 sausages, chopped
large piece of fish
peas
thyme
broccoli
onions, chopped
garlic clove
½ pint hot water
3 sp seasoning

Method


Put the rice is a pan and half fill with cold water. Rub the grains together to wash them and pour away the cloudy water. Repeat the process until the water looks fairly clear.


Cover with enough water to allow it to cook and put the rice on the cooker to boil.

In a large frying pan, cook the chopped sausage in one sp of oil then add the chopped onion and garlic. Stir. Add the chopped tomatoes, seasoning and the water and simmer for 5 minutes.

Take the fish and chop it into chunky squares and add to the sausage mix and allow to cook.

Cut the broccoli into very small pieces and add it together with the peas to the meal and stir in.


Cook for a further 2 minutes.


Spoon the cooked rice into the meal and very gently stir the mixture together until the rice is coated in the juices. Be careful not to break up the fish.


Serve and enjoy.
